  • Take note of the hardware and software requirements. You could download this file that contains the hardware and software requirements of VB 2008 Express Edition.
  • Be sure to completely uninstall any Beta versions before downloading and installing Visual Basic Express. Failure to uninstall the beta versions could lead to problems afterwards.

Below is the License Terms screen.

Below is the Installation Options screen. For now, let’s keep both check boxes unchecked assuming you are unfamiliar with SQL Server.

Below is the Install Destination Screen.

Below is the final Installation complete screen.

That’s it for the install.

The time to finish the installation depends on the power of your computer. Make sure to check the Windows update website to see if there are any updates you need to install that are related to Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition.

Hey, I thought that after 15 years since first installation wizard appeared in Windows, there is nothing left to write about...
Also, MS claims that their products are intuitive. What's the point of this post?

The post is basically an image guide and it wouldn't hurt if you could see what it's going to look like when you're going to install it.

BTW: Live Traffic Feed is all about your ISP IP address, it will display the location of the ISP IP address that you're using, not your exact current location and it would really be wrong if your using proxies.
